A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

Now when I’m not doing art I am a care giver for a dementia ex husband who lives with me. I do like taking photos, lunch with my Red Hat Gals, sailing on Lake Texoma, listening to Bible sermons, gambling.

2. Why do you make art?

I do art to escape the burdens of life. Staying busy and productive are very important to me and I totally enjoy being creative and seeing successful results. I have an ego so I like entering art shows and selling my art which is always the icing on the cake.

3. What inspires you?

I’m inspired by other artists especially Doug Walton and my desire to create. Also having people request my art. Commissions inspire me. I like entering art shows and contests and teaching art lessons.

4. What/who are your influences?

I’m influenced by interesting photos, people, artists, and people who want my art in their lives. Commissions, contests, shows, assignments.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I would love to meet and talk with Jesus first. Georgia O’ Keeffe and any other famous old master.
